The Compagnie Humaine presented on last Saturday 02 July a work in progress/performance with the choreographic maaterial of the coming creation Leviathan followed by a conference/round table on water and environment issues in this very peculiar place which is the former slaughter house of the City of Nice.

# As part of the European exchange network 'studiotrade', the Compagnie Humaine will welcome in a residence from the 21st until the 26th of November the German dance company Silke Z./resistdance.
A presentation of Silke Z. 's choreographic work for the dance professionals ist sceduled on Wednesday 23 November at 2.30 pm as part of the "off" of the Cannes International Dance Festival, and in a partnership with the Cannes School of Dance "Rosella Hightower".
'studiotrade' is a european network of choreagraphers, producers and dance organisations who enable an international exchange of studio facilities for research, creation and introduction to new markets and contexts for selected dance artists.
The founding partners are : Silke Z./resistdance, Studio 11, mechtild telmann kulturmanagement, Stela, Compagnie Humaine, Zodiak, Pavilion Dance, Legitimate Bodies Dance Company, Dance Digital, Arts Printing House, Vo'Arte

Dear everybody,
temperatures are still summer but the 2011/2012 Season starts on top speed !!
First, two events, two creations, will mark the beginning of the season, Butterfly Soul opening of the 2011 edition of the Cannes Dance Festival, and Leviathan at the Theatre de Grasse.
Two new pieces, and the first two collaborations and strong ties with those venues that are also co-producers of those projects.
To this must be added that the company is scheduled for the first time the Plateaux du Val de Marne in Paris. Absence will be performed (it will be the 100th !) at the Maison des Arts in Créteil.
And finally we are very happy to perform again two other pieces of our repertoire at the National Drama Center Théâtre de Nice. Another dream is the theme of the five performances, wich start with the documentary Petrushka's Journey, followed by the piece Another American Dream which stages the left-overs of the famous American dream :

It is an article of the Winston-Salem Journal and a radio interview 88,5WFDD, both medias being based in the USA and which took interest in the creation Holden C. by Éric Oberdorff for the University of North Carolina School of the Arts and performed for its Spring Dance.

# Training for professional dancers : schedule for the 11/12 season
As part of the residence of Compagnie Humaine within the Dance Department of Nice Conservatoire, Eric Oberdorff has wished to renew this operation initiated since September 2008 which is to open regularly compagnie's trainings (two Mondays per month) to professional dancers and actors.
