the ANNEXE : gallery/office
With support from the City of Nice and its Central Head of Cultural Affairs who decided to provide this former city art gallery to the Compagnie Humaine, we can finally settle down. This is a great joy.
The "Annexe" is the Compagnie Humaine's permanent showcase. It allows us to display our artistic identity and communicate on our projects.
By organizing exhibitions, we can present our activities and events. We can showcase for our partners and professionals: stage design presentations, readings, video presentations, etc. ... The "Annexe" is also a production office: video editing, sound editing, working with the artistic team around the light, costumes, scenery... We can now centralize all the archives and allow the administrative team composed of three people (administration / tour manager, production manager, communication department) to work in the same space.
We decided to name the place "Annexe" which has several meanings in French: annex, adjunct and tender (boat). This name highlights its important role in supporting projects of the company from the studio to the stage.
With the "Annexe", we can continue and deepen the main guideline for projects of the Company: be open.
The exhibitions involve the artists working projects of the company, each in their disciplines, to present the richness of their universe but also the different working stages of a project.
In details, there is be a new exhibition every three months, also with one-time events: lectures, mini concerts, debates / discussions, etc... These meetings can also be organized for and/or by other companies and artists in relation to the performing arts.
Outside openings and one-time events, the "Annexe" is open to the public twice a week (Tuesdays & Fridays 2.00pm to 4.00pm) and by appointment.

Since September 2003, without its own place, the Compagnie Humaine has developed residences in many different ways: residence of coproduction, residence of creation, residence & partnership, residence & performance ...
Many thanks to the Directors of these places and to their teams for their warm welcome.
Since September 2008, the company has a convention of residence with the Department of Dance at the Conservatoire de Nice.
